Tanzania Go Adventure

Point(s) of Interest:

Welcome to Tanzania! Today marks the beginning of your exciting safari adventure. Your safari driver will pick you up from the hotel or airport in the morning and take you on a safari adventure in Arusha National Park. At the foot of Mount Meru lies Arusha National Park's spectacular landscapes and the world's largest population of giraffes.

Here you will do a game drive as well as a walking safari with an armed ranger. Walk freely alongside the wildlife of Tanzania and visit unique sights. A great way to start your Safari Experience.

A beautiful park, famous for its green surroundings, lakes, unique sights, and its black and white colubus monkey. A walking safari is a unique and thrilling experience and a chance to be up-close with wild animals, face to face. Something only possible in a few national parks. Later in the evening, you will drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Today, after breakfast, your driver/safari guide will be ready to take you to the next destination: Tarangire National Park. This national park is famous for its large population of elephants and its many baobab trees (Grey Greats). Here, you will find the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, Serengeti being number one.

After having your breakfast at the lodge, it is time to continue your safari adventure! Today, you will enjoy a road trip to Lake Natron. The drive will take up to 4 hours and will take you along the ever-changing landscapes of Tanzania. From the lush green vegetation around the Great Rift Valley, the environment will slowly change into dry, arid, and dusty landscapes.

The closer you get to Lake Natron, the more you will see remains of old volcanoes rise around you, it seems almost unearth-like! You will drive by one of the few active volcanoes—Ol Doinyo Lengai, which means "The Mountain of God" in the Masai language.

While here you have a couple of activities that you can opt to do a Flamingo walking tour, a Waterfalls Visit, or Mountain Climbing as well as a Maasai Boma Visit. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring your swimsuit as you will get the chance to take a refreshing dip once you arrive at the waterfall!

Serengeti is one of the oldest and the largest best parks in Africa. Serengeti also is one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world with the greatest concentration of wild animals on the planet! This world-renowned park is a sanctuary for the last remaining annual mammal migration in the world. Serengeti National Park is Africa’s most famous park due to the largest concentration of game on the continent and the migration of millions of wildebeest.

Serengeti comes from the Maasai language, meaning ‘endless plains,’ and this rightly describes it. With almost 15,000sq km (6,000sq miles), Serengeti National Park is the second-largest park in Tanzania. Meals and your overnight stay are at the Camp.

Another full Day in the northern part of the magnificent Serengeti.

Dinner and overnight at the standard type of accommodation as suggested.

After breakfast, you will start the safari by being transferred to the central part of the Serengeti (also called Seronera). Here your driver will try to find the animals you're the most interested in. Closer to lunch time you will visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where you will be offered a lunchbox and provided with lots of interesting information not only about the animals’ populations but also about the history of the National Park.

Also, in this area, you will be able to see hyraxes, which are the elephant's closest relatives.

It is difficult to describe in detail all the animals of the Serengeti plains, for they number in the thousands: elephants, buffalo, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards, and cheetahs—just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you.

In the evening you will be transferred to a lodge, where you will have dinner and be able to rest.

Breakfast, Full day game drive in Serengeti. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight.

With an additional cost, on this day you have a chance to do an early morning balloon safari (optional). If interested please let’s know in advance.

After breakfast at the lodge, you depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

You will stop at Olduvai Gorge, which boasts a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois
and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.

We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day’s safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

In the morning, depart on a guided cultural tour of the Hadzabe tribe’s location at Lake Eyasi and get knowledge and experience their way of life. You may want to join hadzabe bushmen on a hunting demonstration by these proud people who mostly live on hunting and gathering wild fruits and roots. Amongst the world’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes inhabiting the scrubby bushland, Hadzabe men search for food alone and return home with golden honey, sweet fruit, or hearty wild game when, if available.

Their language is similar to Southern Africa’s Bushmen who speak the Click language and their language is believed to still have clicks and pops like no other “ click language” up to now. You will also have the opportunity to visit a blacksmith tribe of the Datoga where different ornaments are made. Return to your lodge for brunch.

In the afternoon, visit Lake Eyasi.  Dinner and your overnight stay are at the Lodge.

Today, you will explore Lake Manyara National Park from morning to afternoon.

Lake Manyara National Park is famous for being home to unique tree-climbing lions, which, if you are lucky, you will have the chance to spot in the mahogany and acacia trees during your full-day game drive. This national park has a high density of birdlife, more than 400 species.

The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. You can do a boat safari (optional) at an additional cost.

Later, after the tour, you will drive to Arusha for drop-off. End of the safari with Tuko Adventures.
