This is the moment you’ve been waiting for: your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to, and we’ll get your trip underway as soon as we give you an introduction to our team and explain what lies ahead.
Here in Nyerere National Park, you might just fall in love with going on safari. Nyerere is, after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa. Lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest – you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. The rocky hills rise over parts of the reserve, the Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees.

Activity Day 1 Afternoon
Boat Trip, Nyerere National Park
In the morning, you will be picked up by your guide at the place of your stay in Dar es Salaam Tanzania around 7:00 am. You will drive for almost 5 hours to Nyerere National Park. On arrival in the afternoon, you will participate in a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River where you will spot plenty of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.
Later, you will proceed to your lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Activity Day 2 Full Day
Go on a guided game drive through Nyerere, where we'll look for the predators (big cats, African wild dogs), elephants, and hippos that animate Tanzania's south.
You'll enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in the reserve. You'll participate in some classic–style game drives exploring the bush in open 4x4 vehicles.
Waterbucks, southern reedbucks, and brushbacks are common in the Nyerere.
Rare sable antelopes, lions, and greater kudu are also frequent in this area.

Activity Day 3 Afternoon & Evening
Your guide will show you the amazing wildlife and landscapes of Mikumi as we take you on a guided game drive through the park.
You'll depart (transfer) from Nyerere towards Mikumi National Park.
The highlight of the day includes a rich variety of bird species, and other mammals including giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, African wild dogs, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, and many more animal species.
Then, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Activity Day 4 Early Morning & Afternoon
You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Mikumi National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.
An early breakfast at the lodge or camp is followed by morning game drives which take you till lunchtime. After lunch, you will be driven back to Dar es Salaam. It will take 5 hrs to drive back to Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off at the place of your choice.
