Point(s) of Interest:

Morning

This morning, it's time to look for lions, elephants, and other incredible animals on your guided game drive through Tarangire National Park.

The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation primarily consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania's dry season, the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

Afternoon

Pick up in the morning from the hotel and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird life assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park.

The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammals, and adult males can weigh as much as seven tonnes. Tarangire’s varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. When your game drive comes to an end, your guide will take you to the lodge.

Early Morning

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Rest of Day

An appetising breakfast will be served at the camp followed by a drive to the Serengeti National Park.
You will take the scenic route to the Serengeti which allows you to travel near the Ngorongoro Crater. There is a possibility of spotting game. The endless golden savannah with splotches of colour created by the vegetation and wildlife make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural wonders of Africa.

You will stop so that you can enjoy your picnic lunch on a kopje (a small hill in a generally flat area). You will proceed further into the Serengeti for a leisurely game drive. You will spend the night at the Tukaone Serengeti Camp, comprehensive lodge facilities are available.

You'll spend the best part of a day exploring Ngorongoro Crater on your guided game drive. There's always lots of wildlife to see, and this could include lions, hyenas and black rhinos.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here.

Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

 Morning

Explore the lakeshore and forests of Lake Manyara National Park this morning. Along the way, you'll look for elephants and tree-climbing lions with the help of your expert guide. This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

Afternoon

The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Manyara also offers a variety of activities such as walking safari with an armed ranger, canoeing in the lake, and night game drive for an extra cost. After an astonishing game drive you the be transferred back to Arusha for drop-off.
