Point(s) of Interest:

Morning
This morning, it's time to go looking for lions, elephants, and other incredible animals on your guided game drive through Tarangire National Park.

The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania's dry season, the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

Afternoon
Pick up in the morning from the hotel and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird-life assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park.

The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammal and adult males can weigh as much as seven tonnes. Tarangire’s varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. When your game drive comes to an end, your guide will take you to the lodge.

You will wake up, have breakfast, and travel to Lake Manyara. The entire territory of this park is cut through with groundwater streams that provide a favorable environment for plants and, in addition, for a multitude of birds (including pink flamingos) and African forest animals.

Around lunchtime you will visit the Maji Moto hot springs and the driver will provide you with personal lunchboxes. After this stop, the safari will continue, and by evening you will be transferred to a hotel. In Lake Manyara, you have the option to add extra activities like a night game drive, canoeing, and a walking safari to feel the excitement of exploring the wild in Tanzania on foot (optional).

After breakfast, you will start the safari by being transferred to the central part of the Serengeti (also called Seronera). Here your driver will try to find the animals you're the most interested in. Closer to lunchtime you will visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where you will be offered a lunchbox and provided with lots of interesting information not only about the animals’ populations but also about the history of the national park. Also, in this area, you will be able to see hyraxes, which are the elephant's closest relatives.

It is difficult to describe in detail all the animals of the Serengeti plains, for they number in the thousands: elephants, buffalos, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards, and cheetahs—just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you. You'll have optional activities like the Olduvai George tour of the cradle of mankind.

In the evening, you will be transferred to a lodge, where you will have dinner and rest.

After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive in Serengeti. You will have a picnic lunch. You will have dinner and an overnight stay. With an additional cost, on this day you have a chance to do an early morning balloon safari (optional). If interested please let’s know in advance.

Today you will have another chance to spot all the big cats either you missed in the first or add some more to your bucket list.

Morning
After breakfast in the morning, you will continue with the game drive inside Serengeti Park. The greater part of these areas is a savanna with wide open spaces, which provides a likely opportunity to see cheetah-hunting antelopes. On this day also you have an option to visit the Maasai people and Olduvai Gorge at an additional cost. The Oldupai Gorge is one of the most important archaeological sites on earth. The geological strata exposed in the gorge reveal a remarkable record of animal and human evolution from about two million until fifteen thousand years ago.

Rest of Day
Leave the crowds behind and join us for a guided game drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands. It's a chance to see and learn what this remarkable landscape has to offer. By early afternoon you will finish the safari and return to the hotel in Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will have an overnight waiting for another blissful day of adventure in the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

On this day it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours. At 6:30 AM you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater.

Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania's national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travelers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining. Ending the beautiful day and return to to Arusha.
